The Seven Ravens
A father loses his seven sons when they accidentally spill water while fetching it for their baby sister. In a fit of rage, he wishes them transformed into ravens, and they fly away forever. The little girl grows up unaware of her brothers until she learns the truth about their disappearance. Grief-stricken, she decides to leave home and search the wide world for them. She travels far, seeking help from celestial bodies like the sun and the moon. Neither the fiery sun nor the cold moon can assist her in her quest. Friendly stars guide her toward a magical castle on a glass mountain. They give her a small piece of wood needed to unlock the castle door. Tragically, she loses this key as she continues her journey. Desperate to save her brothers, she cuts off her finger to fit into the lock. Inside, she meets a dwarf who prepares dinner for the returning ravens. She eats from each plate and drinks from each glass, leaving her ring in the last one. The ravens arrive and complain about someone tasting their food. The seventh raven finds the ring and hopes his sister will come to free them. Hearing this, the girl reveals herself and breaks the spell over her brothers. The family is reunited and returns home together.
